Our business consultants have many years of experience working in senior business positions or as authorised accountants. That’s why we can say, hand on heart, that we’re able to offer guidance in most areas relating to both international and Swedish finance.
We have a genuine interest in helping business leaders who need support and a second opinion on issues relating to the review of finance, strategy, and development.
Here are some of the things we can help with:
Reporting and providing information to the stock exchange and authorities
Reporting and stock exchange information requirements, such as for Nasdaq, are often perceived as very rigid and formal. Adhering to reporting deadlines and being able to manage market information cohesively is a delicate task. At Azets we use our most experienced consultants for this. With regard to financial companies, we have a number of employees who have worked with, for example, deposit accounts, reporting to Finansinspektionen (the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority), and the valuation of financial instruments and investments.
Capital acquisition – assessment and advice
Capital acquisition is a recurring issue for our clients. It needs to be addressed by way of shareholder contributions and/or the issue of new shares. We offer our clients an all-in-one solution from documentation to prospectuses, and the reconciliation of payments. It’s a good idea to have a seasoned consultant at your side when assessing the various options and to get advice on the consequences.
Consolidated financial statements and consolidation
For many years, Azets has worked with clients who need consolidated accounts and reporting in order to report information that covers the Group as a whole. Such skills are tricky to find, so Azets’ advantage comes in our ability to maintain, broaden, and continuously develop skills in this area.
Advice on regulations and standards for annual accounts
The different regulations for annual accounts have their pros and cons. Yet our experience enables us to consult with our client to determine which regulations are the most suitable for their circumstances, depending on whether the company holds any real estate, intellectual property rights, and internally generated projects and the like. We can also assist in adapting your accounts to comply with the IFRS international standard.
Tax advice and tax planning
We’re often asked about tax – usually about active tax planning. Azets offers tax advice in all areas of taxation.
Azets uses a number of models for liquidity planning. Although liquidity planning is sometimes general, there is sometimes a need for planning at a more detailed level. We use the data available to us in our systems together with information that our clients provide us with. When it comes to budgeting, we like to work alongside our clients to develop instructions that then enable the budget to be read by our reporting, monitoring, and governance systems. Azets will gladly assist in the analysis and compliance control of our clients’ administrative processes.
The responsibility of the board of directors in the event of insolvency
Unfortunately, sometimes companies find themselves in situations where they no longer have any share capital. Situations like these can pose a risk to the company’s owners and board of directors. However, if Azets is taking care of the company’s routine reporting, we can forewarn the board if there is a risk of using up all the share capital. The preparation of a balance sheet for liquidation purposes is mandatory, as are the rules regarding the process of managing the company’s stakeholders.
Training in economics and accounting
Azets’ employees are happy to provide training in a variety of subjects including travel expenses, the rules on what is and isn’t a deductible expense, how to manage different systems, customs issues, etc. We think it’s nice to have a reason to meet our clients – at our place or theirs.
